The La Leche League Kelston Group welcomes mothers and pregnant women to their monthly meetings for encouragement, support and discussion on a wide range of breastfeeding, mothering and parenting issues. 

No booking is required.

We meet at the Kelston Community Centre every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 9:45am.

Activity Room 2, Corner of Great North and Awaroa Roads.

Topics for discussion include: 

• The advantages of breast feeding             
• The first six weeks
• Overcoming difficulties
• Nutrition and weaning

Attending La Leche League meetings helps you learn about breastfeeding from other nursing mothers.  At these monthly meetings, mothers share not only their questions and concerns but also the benefits of breastfeeding.  Being in touch with La Leche League can give you the network of support you need.  If you can, you are welcome to bring a healthy snack to share for morning tea.  Babies and children are always welcome.  We also offer: lending library, sales of The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding, membership to LLL, information leaflets, telephone help and listening ears!
