La Leche League Bay of Islands offers encouragement, support and information to all pregnant and breastfeeding mothers.
La Leche League meetings are designed with babies in mind. They are informal, there are toys for toddlers and snacks for everyone. No one will mind if you breastfeed, change a nappy, soothe a fretful baby, come late or leave early. When you come to a La Leche League meeting, you don't just learn from other women, other women have a chance to learn from you.
You can ask questions. How do I know if I have enough milk? How can I get my baby to sleep? How will I cope with critics of my parenting? What do I do with a crying baby?
